It’s a new year with renewed mindsets that we can accomplish all we ever dreamed. It is a point in time where we simultaneously reflect and look to the new year with joyful expectation. As I reflect on the year of 2016, I am amazed at how God truly was in each and every moment of this year. Whether that was in the dark moments, the good moments, or my victories. The way he has showed up in my life as I strive every day to know this father that loves me in more ways than I can comprehend, has truly blown me away.
Looking to this New Year I have claimed that this year is going to be a year of growth, life, and creativity. Within this claim I’ve challenged myself to do a few things, one including a ’52 weeks of gratitude’ challenge.
I hope that within doing this I cultivate a constant spirit of thanksgiving and I take the time to “stop and smell the roses”. I hope that this gives me an outlet to consistently reflect on all I am truly blessed with. I also intend for it to help me become a better writer and give me another creative outlet in my every day life.
So here’s to a year full of gratefulness and consistent blog posting. Here’s to all God has planned and more. Here’s to every moment, whether good or bad, every victory, every lesson, and every curve ball life may throw our way. It’s a new year guys and yes I’ve jumped on the New Year’s bandwagon, but I truly think this is the time to go and get it done!
Cheers to a Year full of thanksgiving!
